Shipping Update and HEXX free shipping deadline!

Greetings Everyone!
We wanted to give you an update on where the SUM8 Classic Edition shipping is at. The boat arrived in port on Friday October 21st. We are now patiently waiting for it to clear customs and be on its way. ARC Global, our Logistics partner is in constant contact with us, and do not believe it should be held much longer. As soon as it is released and moving again we will let you know!
SUM of you have already pledged for our new game HEXX and taken advantage of the free shipping we are offering. This special Tier is only open until Noon tomorrow EDT. After that, we will be offering the remainder of the copies to other backers.
Outside of North America and want to back HEXX? Please contact us at [email protected] or send us a message in Kickstarter. We are not using Backerkit this time around and cannot collect VAT or other taxes through Kickstarter, so we have found a workaround.

KS Edition Score Disk Misprint

Just a small announcement about our Kickstarter Edition Score Disks:
It appears that a few misprints have gone out to backers - one where there is no 2 or 3 printed on the disk. We believe there should only be a handful of these.
If you have received one please let me know by commenting on this post, messaging Turnup Games through Kickstarter, or emailing me - [email protected].
We will be sending out replacements to rectify the misprint.
We apologize for the error and hope it has not interfered too much with your enjoyment of the game!

New Word Game Coming to Kickstarter!

First, a small update: we talked to our logistics partner and the SUM8 Classic Editions are still on schedule to arrive at the beginning of November.
Now onto our new game, and our special offer for you.
Calling all Word Game Lovers (or those with family & friends that love word games)!
Our new game HEXX is going to launch on Kickstarter next week (October 25th) and will include a limited run that will ship in time for the Holidays.
It's a word making, tile flipping game for two. We like to think of it as Scrabble meets Othello meets a Word Search.
Just like Scrabble you make words on your turn trying to include your opponent's tiles so you can flip them to your color. There is no score keeping, the person with the most tiles wins. A little twist: just the word you are making needs to be valid - it does not matter if adjoining tiles also make a word - but if they do - more tiles to flip! We also added HEXX tiles which can be used as any letter, but their use triggers risks or rewards.
Made in House
This game will be made in our shop here in Canada. That is why there will be a limited number available before the Holidays (as we only have so many days to make them).
North America Only
With the tight timelines we have decided to just offer this Kickstarter to North America. While we would love to support the entire world, it is just not feasible for us at this time. If you are not in North America and really want HEXX, please reach out to us.
No Additional Shipping for SUM8 Backers
We have made a special reward tier for our SUM8 backers. Supporting HEXX will mean that you will get HEXX shipped with SUM8 with no additional shipping charges. Even if you backed our Kickstarter Edition and have received that version already, we will honor the no additional shipping.
(This means that your SUM8 will be shipped after the HEXX Kickstarter closes. If you don't want to wait for SUM8 you can chose the regular reward tier and pay the additional shipping.)
Time Limited Reward Tier
This Reward Tier will only last until November 2nd.
Why? For two reasons:
- So we can offer the rest of the limited run to other Kickstarter backers,
- So that we can separate your SUM8 games once they arrive.
We have initially set this tier with a limited number of 100, but if there are more Word Game Lovers out there, we will increase it. (We have left a little wiggle room in our production timeline.)

Kickstarter Edition shipping underway and Classic Edition timeline

We are happy to report that 87% of our Kickstarter Editions have been shipped, and the remaining ones will be shipped by Monday. A few of you may have already received your copies!
We have also been given an update on the Classic Edition shipping by our logistics company. They have given us an estimated ETA to the warehouse of October 28th. So we are optimistic that we will be shipping at the beginning of November.
Once we are closer to shipping we will send out a reminder to update addresses for the final time.

Kickstarter Editions Address Lock!

We have an exciting update for our Kickstarter Edition backers! We are at the lock address stage - so if there are any changes to make before shipping you have one week left. Sunday September 18th is the deadline for any changes!

We have received the components needed from China for the Kickstarter Edition and are doing our QA and finalizing packaging. We want to do a couple of tests with all components and packaging before we ship them all out to make sure nothing will get damaged.
We are targeting September 22nd to start shipping! We will keep you updated on how this progresses.
Classic Edition
Manufacturing is complete and the games are now in the hands of our logistics company. It is now a waiting game for arrival! We will keep you updated on where the games are when we receive updates. We will wait until we have confirmed arrival to lock addresses for shipping.
